What was the specific issue that required you to go to 8.6 on CUCM? You need 8.6 on the CUEAC side.Dennis HeimNetwork Voice EngineerCDW Advanced Technology Services10610 9th PlaceBellevue, WA 98004317.569.4255 Single Number Reach317.569.4201 Faxdennis.heim@cdw.comcdw.com/content/solutions/unified-communications/From: cisco-voip-bounces@puck.nether.net mailto:cisco-voip-bounces@puck.nether.net On Behalf Of Gregory WenzelSent: Wednesday, October 12, 2011 4:50 AMTo: Michel L. Occasionally in voice world you are required to update firmware for just certain phone types and not others. Say for example you’ve received a batch of those 7945 or 7965 phones that only support 9.3(1)SR1. and you aren’t running that version of firmware on your CUCM yet. There are just a few simple steps and gotchas to watch out for to get this firmware up and running on these phones.First, hop on over to and download the firmware files for CUCM. In my case, I downloaded.Save the file to your sFTP directory and launch your sFTP client. I was driving my head into the keyboard with a customer on this same issue recently! Half their phones worked immediately and the others didn’t, talk about frustrating!!

I believe this affected 7965 HW Rev 15+ models. However post upgrade, we had a few issues like users with headsets not able to use the adhoc conference feature to directory services only working 1 out of every 10 button presses and some EMCC login errors. Creating a checklist of features to verify will definitely be an evolving document as we discover more bugs when upgrading future models.
