Hi All,First of all I must say what a good job Peace is. It definitely improves the EQ-APO to another level, and the additional effects are welcome too. I have been using 5.1 Speakers for almost 10 years now, but I only discovered EQ-APO and Peace recently as a friend asked me to setup his 5.1 speakers with onboard sound which needs serious correction.I have been familiar with the concept of upmix stereo to 5.1 through foobar2000 or other proprietary software such as Dolby Prologic IIx, DTS Neo, Creative CMSS3d etc.
Now with Peace, I can also upmix the stereo sound from Youtube or any other applications on Windows, just like those proprietary software.However, when I'm playing a real 5.1 content, the upmix algorithm still kicks and I do not get the correct sound. Dialogue from the center channel are usually drowned by the front stereo speakers. Also the bass redirected to the subwoofer seems to be too much, I can't find a way to reduce it unless I alter the EQ for the subwoofer channel.My suggestion would be to include an additional setting for the subwoofer bass redirection, and include a script to bypass upmix whenever there are 6 channel audio playing.
This is usually the case with those upmix software, in fact I used to rely on 'ChannelMixer' plugin for foobar2000 to insert empty sound to Center, LFE and rear therefore my music in foobar2000 remains playing in stereo, despite my soundcard setting to upmix all stereo content to 5.1. If: inputChannelCount = 6 Copy: MUP = 0.5.

By switching off the current Upmix on the Effects panel and copying the above lines to the Commands window of Peace and hit Test (or Save). As said perhaps switching the 'inputChannelCount' for 'outputChannelCount'. If: inputChannelCount = 6 Copy: MUP = 0.5.

I have also tried swapping the line for output, even changing the sign to = and then it upmixes. If i set it to. I guess that 'inputChannelCount' and 'outputChannelCount' only state the number of hardware channels saying nothing of the audio content. If Equalizer APO hasn't got a variable for the current output audio stream, we can't intervene. And your suggestion of 4 codes lines isn't possible also.
So only switching Peace configurations (presets) per content is possible (perhaps by using hotkeys). Thanks anyway for testing.Would suggest a specific subwoofer dial for the upmix?
Could be nice if more people are having the same subwoofer upmix issue. On the other hand you now can easily change the 0.5 multiplexer yourself.
I'm using Flash Player 11.6.602.171 in Firefox 19.0.2 with Windows 7 and a 5.1 sound device.I just noticed that when playing stereo sound in Flash (e.g. Youtube, Soundcloud), Flash is upmixing stereo sound to 5.1 by duplicating sound into the rear speakers and doing some kind of home-made bass management with the LFE channel.This is obviously completely wrong and is clearly a bug, since stereo is not meant to be reproduced using more than two speakers and Flash is the only software that behaves that way.
